Himawari means sunflower in Japanese and is one of my favorite flowers. It's a bright, happy and uplifting flower. When the sun is shining the face of the sunflowers follow the sun as it moves across the sky. I can relate myself to a sunflower where I tend to look to crafts that give me that warm happy feeling. With this in mind I have used this name to combine my passions for the arts under Himawari Designs.
This site has been created to document my personal work. My curiosity for hand crafted pieces has led me to explore ceramics, soldered pendants, and fused glass. Please view my ceramic and glass galleries for samples of my work. I do not sell pieces online but occasionally participate in craft sales, please contact me if you would like to be notified of my upcoming events or check back here!
